BeeqBox Sprays

I was recently running low on setting spray, and before I purchased a Fix+ or All Nighter Spray, I stopped to tell myself to shop from the Black Owned Beauty Guide that took me 3 days to put together. I redirected my searches to the BeeqBox website, and picked up a few products from their collection to test out.

Initially, I purchased one illuminating setting spray, and one facial spray. They are currently offering a deal to receive a free lip gloss when you buy 2 sprays, so I also received their Lip Drip gloss ( $10). I haven’t been able to try it yet, but it is described as a coconut vanilla clear glitter lip gloss, with natural lip pumping grapefruit seed extract, and fine silver and micro holographic hues. Beeqbox also very kindly sent me an additional spray. Unfortunately, I spilled half of the bottle, but I will get into that a little later. Here’s what I thought about the sprays.

BBHMM No F*ckboys Super Repellant - 2 oz. ($15)

The thing that caught my attention most, was their clever branding that is super relevant to social media culture. They brand themselves as Millennial Made Cosmetics & Skincare, so this is the perfect alignment and a great marketing strategy.

If you’re not familiar with BBHMM, it is a Rihanna song as well as an acronym for B*tch better have my money! This particular spray is described as cool toned diamond dust silver that compliments all skin complexions, with a ton of sparkle.

Petty No F*ckboys Super Repellant - 2 oz. ($15)

Petty is a rose-gold spray containing flattering faint pink undertones, with golden sparkles and compliments all skin complexions. It is described to have more shimmer and glow, but less sparkle.

This can be used on the entire body, before or after makeup application, or as a simple makeup refresher/setting spray. They are also technically illuminizing sprays, so when I first posted to my instagram stories about making the purchase, one of my followers DMed me about there being so much glitter that she had to be cautious of how she applied. I listened, but I didn’t see much glitter in the tagged images of others who’ve used the spray.

When I received them, and switched the protective cap to the spray nozzle, it wasn’t quite an exact fit on BBHMM. The first day I used it, I knocked it over and didn’t notice it was spilling until nearly half the bottle was gone. I was upset because its a new product, but it is also an item I received complimentary so I wasn’t too mad.

It wasn’t shaken prior to the spill, so I lost mostly the spray but all of the glitter was still at the bottom. As it was drying on my skin, I was loving how my makeup looked. Everything melted together seamlessly, and I had a nice glow from within look peaking through. Once it completely absorbed and I saw how much glitter was all over my chest and face, I lost a little excitement. I am personally not a fan of glitter on my face, but I was doing my makeup during sunset and loved how the glitter picked up on my body. I will absolutely use the spray on my body as a shimmer mist throughout the summer.

B*tch B-Gone Facial Mist - 4 oz. ($15)

B*tch-Be-Gone is their first skincare product, and described as a super moisturizing, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, vegan & cruelty-free facial mist. It is packed with antioxidants, rich in minerals and also has astringent properties. So far I’ve used it specifically as a toner spray and have enjoyed it. There is a subtle powdery fragrance that isn’t overpowering, and is very refreshing.

I initially purchased this as a morning routine toner, but after discovering this product has a similar formulation to the setting spray, I determined this may be a better fit to set my makeup when I don’t want to use the glitter sprays. I am not sure if the jojoba oil in the formula will cause my makeup to break apart, but since I have another toner and essence in my routine, I will try it out to see if I have similar results to the other sprays.

Final Thoughts

Beeqbox specializes in primarily glitter beauty products, so if you enjoy illuminating and shimmery makeup products, then the No F*ckboys sprays are right up your alley.

Besides being caught off guard by the amount of glitter that was dispersed in the spray, I still really enjoyed how the actual liquid set my makeup. The formula is gentle enough for sensitive skin, so I am happy I have the glitter free B*tch B-Gone spray that has the same ingredients.
