A few months ago, I was sent products from CBD Living Water to test out for pain relief. They recently sent me some of their lotions to add to my skincare regime, and to see if CBD can help with my eczema.
Since I already covered the brand previously, you can check out my previous article about the benefits of CBD HERE. Today, I’m going to talk more about how I use each one of their lotions, and what it was best for in my experience.
The Lotions - ($40 ea.)
Compared to their CBD Freeze Roll-On, that has 120 MG of CBD in 3 ounces, the lotions contain 250 MG in 16 ounces. Having less CBD per ounce makes them more suitable for calming your senses and body, than it does for pain relief. Unlike the roll-on that aided me in soothing cramps and leg pains, I didn’t experience the same affects from the lotion. It is my opinion that they are great lotion alternatives during massages, or just to relax at the end of a long day.
There are 3 scents available, unscented, eucalyptus, and lavender that are great for different reasons. Here’s how I use them.
Morning
When I am getting my day started, I like to use the eucalyptus lotion. It has a slight tingle that is great for energizing the skin. They’re especially good for when I am nervous or anxious before a big meeting, because it helps make me feel awake and more focused.
Night
Lavender by itself has always promoted calmness and tranquility. Mixed with the CBD formula, this lotion is perfect to destress right before bed. The soothing scent infused with the CBD, can be a good alternative to sleep aides, and help combat insomnia when you have a lot on your mind.
Eczema Flare Ups
Whenever I break out from my eczema, I avoid all things scented. I like to use the unscented lotion on my skin when I have any opened wounds or rashes, to help soothe any itchiness and prevent my rashes from spreading. It is a very runny and watery formula that lacks moisture retention, so I mix it with a thicker emollient cream or lotion so I get the moisture I need, while reliving the irritation, without reaching for my steroid topical prescription.
The unscented will also be good for anyone who likes to wear fragrances during the day, and doesn’t want their perfume/cologne of choice to conflict with the scented lotions.
Final Thoughts
I believe anyone who enjoys the benefits of CBD products, will equally enjoy the CBD Living lotions. They can be used for a variety of reasons by those with anxious feelings, or anyone who has trouble falling asleep. They can also be a great addition to the kits of professional masseuses, who want to give their clients additional relaxation during services.
