Maison Margiela Replica Coffee Break

Changing seasons means changing your fragrance. It’s never really been my thing, but recently i’ve been exploring different fragrance options that work with my body chemistry and the changing weather.

One of my current favorite scents to wear is the new Maison Margiela Coffee Break Fragrance. Created by LVMH perfumer Jacques Cavallier, it is a blend of coffee, mousse and lavender that is meant to transport you to your favorite café.

The unisex fragrance is infused with the following notes:

  • Top: coffee, red apple, lemon essence.

  • Middle: lavender essence, spearmint essence, orange flower absolute.

  • Base: milk mousse accord, Sri Lankan sandalwood essence, Virginia cedarwood essence.

This unisex fragrance is unexpected and delicious blend of pastries, and florals that I'd never expect would infuse this well together. It truly does evoke the feeling of visiting your favorite cafe. The first note that hit my nose was the mousse, followed by the lavender. I picked up on the coffee last, and was thankful that is it not overpowering.

I think this is the perfect scent for winter months. It is not overly floral, and very warm. I'd definitely recommend picking it up as a Christmas gift for a loved one, or just to spoil yourself. I plan on doing so myself.

It will be available on Nordstrom.com for $126, but I am not sure what the exact launch date is. I suggest setting up an alert so you are able to order as soon as it is available, or you can pre-order it from Noseparis.com for €95 or $104.60 USD + $21.75 standard shipping (5-7 business days).
