A few months ago, I participated in a virtual voxbox campaign through Influenster that introduced me to Hard Candy Cosmetics; a nostalgic 90s brand available exclusively online and at Walmart nationwide. I purchased an eyeshadow palette that had great pigment and the best part was the affordable price (15 shadows for $10).
When I was offered the opportunity to try out some of their newest products from their Spring collection, I had to take the opportunity to see what else the brand had to offer.
I was sent 5 items from their spring launch. I received:
The Go For the Gold Pro Eyeshadow Collection ($10)

The Matte Velvet Mousse Lipcolor & Liner - Dahlia ($6)
A velvet matte lip kit with their matte-aholic formulas, containing a lip liner and matching liquid lipstick.
These products were so versatile, I decided to use them on two different looks: A neutral everyday look, with a pop of color and a glam high impact look with a bold look.
Soft Neutral with a Pop of Color
For the first look, I used pop the bubbly, and royal princess from the go for the gold palette on my lid. The two are close to my skin tone, so it gave me a subtle but shimmery lid.
Since neon green is a hot trend right now, I wanted to incorporate it in my look, so I used the kryptonite eyeliner and topped it with rich and famous from the palette to set it in place.
I finished my eyes by adding stay golden in my crease.
I then used the rose gold highlighter on my cheekbone, and finished off by adding the plumping lip gloss.

High Impact Glam with a Bold Lip
For the next look, I wanted to do something a little bit more extreme and really showcase my eyes and lips.
I used heart of gold, and crown jewels from the palette for a smokey eye, and also ran those across my bottom lash line for more impact.
I used the matte-aholic lip kit for my lips. It was pulling a little bit more red than I wanted, so I added the plumping gloss to make it more berry toned.
After creating both looks, I am very impressed with the versatility and pigmentation of the products from Hard Candy. Usually you don’t get this much color from inexpensive makeup collections, so this collection has definitely changed the way I look at buying makeup from here on out.
