When you have eczema and extremely sensitive skin, you miss out on certain body care items. Specifically anything with fragrance. When it comes to organic products, sometimes you may get the scent, but miss out on moisture locking properties. You end up being left with using aveeno or cetaphil, and don’t the luxury spa experience from using products that relax your senses, and make your skin feel baby soft.

I had the opportunity to try out some of Dani Naturals body care products, and they immediately changed my perspective on what organic body products could be. Here are my thoughts!

Lemongrass Lavender Body Wash - 12 oz ($22.00)

With the rainy humid season in full swing, along with my allergies being at an all time high, I have had severely dry skin and eczema flare ups, which hasn’t happened in some years. When this happens, I have to be extra cautious of what I use in shower. Usually that means staying away from all things fragrant. Luckily, I didn’t have that issue with this body wash.

It is an emollient and gentle wash that didn’t cause any irritation at all. I was even able to use it on a few open sores and rashes without it burning, or causing the rash to spread. Even after drying off, my skin was extremely soft, and I possibly could have gotten away with not following up with a moisturizer.

Lemongrass Lavender Hand & Body Lotion - 12 oz ($25.00)

Although I didn’t need lotion after using the body wash, I still used it to enhance the wonderful lemongrass and lavender scent that had faded once I dried off. Like the body wash, the body lotion is equally as hydrating. It game my skin a nourishing and velvety soft texture that lasted 24 hours. It did not irritate my eczema, and soothed my inflamed patches.

The only drawback, which really isn’t a negative if you’re diligent about caring for your skin, is that I lost some moisture after a day. This is primarily due to the formula not containing silicone that is usually put in other lotions due to it’s coating and sealing abilities. But now that I am older, I much rather have to reapply a gentle lotion regularly than use a formula with chemical that can irritate my sensitive skin over time.

Final Thoughts

I really enjoyed using these two products. They definitely suit the needs of anyone who has extremely sensitive skin, and anyone with skin conditions such as eczema, or rosacea.
