Natasha Denona Sunrise Palette

When it comes to eyeshadow palettes, there are a few brands out there that I have to covet from a distance. Why? The price tag. Up until recently, Natasha Denona was one of those brands.

When I saw the images for the sunrise palette, and that it was $65 instead of their normal $129, I knew it was time to finally see what all the hype was about.

The Palette

The 15-pan palette contains 7 creamy mattes, 5 metallics, and 2 duo chromes in hues inspired by the array of hues in the sky that you see at first light.

The first thing I noticed, was how creamy the formula is. They are extremely user-friendly, and even great for beginners because of how little effort you have to put into blending. It took me half the time it usually does to create my eye looks, and did not have any problems at alll with any of the formulas.

The only drawback I noticed is that the deepest shade is Clove which is a plum red. If you want to create a look using the neutral shades in the palette, Jasper is the deepest. Those who are deeper than my complexion will have to go into another palette for a deep warm brown crease/transition shade because Jasper will not be deep enough to add dimension.

Eyeshadow Look

Since it is the Sunrise palette, I created a soft glam look that can still be worn during the day. Here’s how I got the look:

I started with Carnelian in my crease. I also used this shade on the center of my bottom lash line;

I used Citrine to blend out the edges above Carnelian;

I used Morning as a matte brow bone highlight, and to blend out the edges of Citrine;

I deepened my crease and outer v with Jasper. I also ran the color along the outer half of my bottom lash line;

I applied Agate to my lid;

I used Day Spring between Agate and Jasper for a seamless transition;

I finished by adding Laurel to my inner corner, and inner third of my bottom lash line.

Final Thoughts

I really LOVE this palette. It is great for everyone starting from beginners, all the way up to working professional working artists.

I definitely suggest not being afraid to splurge a little, and picking up this palette if you want an introduction to Natasha Denona and the amazing formulas.

This palette is currently on sale at Sephora stores nationwide & online, or you can do what I did and purchase it directly from the Natasha Denona Website.
